The audio operator is a key player in the live control room and will be responsible for mixing audio for fast-paced and fluid shows in a broadcast environment.

Responsibilities

  • Audio mixing of a wide range of shows, including Sportsnet Central, Tim & Friends, Blue Jays Central, National Bank Cup Tennis and Olympics, to name just a few
  • Excel in the operation of Calrec and Studer audio consoles, AES audio monitoring equipment, AES and analog audio patching, lavalier mics, Ovation playout, RTS intercom / IFB systems, RF mics and IFB and other audio processing equipment
  • Bring an understanding of the operation of intercom, including intercom patching, IFB routing and key panel programming
  • Continuously examine the performance of our internal network systems, identifying and immediately acting on inconsistencies to provide solutions to fulfill requirements and provide opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Maximize utilization of available resources for the ever-growing requirements of Rogers Sports and Media market-leading content offerings, and liaise with management and engineering on all technical maintenance and repair related issues
